What are the Dumpit products?

Dumpit is an online product sales site for suppliers selling all NEW products that are either end of line, excess stock, last years model, or just genuine bargains! All products are supplied from the original manufacturer. All branded products are genuine merchandise. In general all stocks are at very low prices, and in many cases the suppliers can only offer limited quantities at these prices.  

How does Dumpit work?

You can buy at any time by simply clicking the ‘Buy this one now’ icon, or clicking the ‘Add to Cart’ icon if you wish to make a multiple purchase.

The item was there yesterday and has now gone?

Someone else has purchased it at the stated price. There were no more products available. Unfortunately you missed out on this item.

What is the RRP?

This is the recommended retail price for the goods.

What is the Buy Now Price?

As its name suggests the “Buy Now Price” is what you can buy the product at right now. If you purchase a product you will instantly receive a confirmation email. This email will provide you with a description of the product, the price you paid the cost of freight and your delivery details.

Who can sell their goods on Dumpit?

Only New Zealand companies can sell on Dumpit, all sellers have been screened with reference checks so you know you are buying from reputable firms.

Who can buy goods on Dumpit?

Our freight charges are calculated for New Zealand only, as a consequence we will only supply within New Zealand.

How does freight charges work?

As unique as the products that we sell equally the freight for each item is unique. Each item will have a firm freight charge dependent upon which of the three geographical areas you wish to have your product delivered to. Remember we cannot deliver to a post office box and as we utilise a track pack system we will require a signature as proof of delivery.

What is the Dump of The Day?

Each day a new product is offered for sale over a 24 hour period from midday to midday the following day at its absolute rock bottom price. The price is fixed and stays at this price until it is sold out or the 24 hour period is up.

Does Dumpit only sell new goods?

Yes we only sell new items, in most cases these items are one of the following:

  • Last years model

  • End of line items

  • Surplus stock

  • Box damaged new stock

  • Or simply stock that is a genuine bargain!

Are all of the products sold the genuine article?

Yes - they are all sourced from authentic suppliers, and in all cases we have ensured that they only supply us with genuine product, so we can guarantee all products legitimacy. In fact, as we know that we never sell fake articles, we would be prepared to refund you Ten Times what you paid for any purchase from our site, if you were able to provide evidential proof that a product was in fact a fake!

What is my position in regards to warranties?

All goods are covered by the supplier’s normal warranty or guarantee, except where it is specifically stated that the goods sold are not covered by any warranty or manufacturers guarantee.

Do you only send goods to a home address?

No, we send your goods to the address you nominated as your preferred delivery address when you signed up to Dumpit. However all goods must be signed for or else they can not be delivered. It is up to you to ensure that there is a nominated person at the delivery address to receive your goods. You can update your delivery address at any time when you log in and manage your account. It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery information is correct at the time of auction as this is where your goods will be shipped to.

What happens if I have a problem with delivery or if my product is faulty?

If you have a problem with your product contact us immediately admin@dumpit.co.nz. To allow us to assist you we will require as much information as possible such as product description, the auction number and detail regarding the problems that you are having. As the outcome of a full investigation from the courier company is completed then the supplier will determine the replacement procedure for you. If your item was the last available the supplier will determine how to rectify this via a suitable replacement or refund at their discretion.
You have three days from accepting delivery to lodge your claim with Dumpit and the courier company.

How long will I have to wait for my products to be delivered?

In most cases we are able to deliver your products within a week (if not sooner). However if you have not received your products within 10 working days contact us immediately and we will follow up with our track and pack system.

Can I return an item I purchased on Dumpit?

Dumpit is an auction site and does not own the stock for sale. All suppliers of products to Dumpit offer the same refund policy as per the auction process. You goods will be replaced or exchanged if:
The item is damaged or lost in courier and you follow the procedure to claim for damage
The item is defective
The item is incorrectly described in the auction listing
 
If the manufacturer is unable to replace goods as you purchased the last available item they will contact you and offer a solution.
You will not receive a refund if:
You simply changed your mind
The item was not what you expected it to be or not what you imagined it to be.

How do I pay?

We take credit cards Mastercard and Visa in addition we offer an electronic wallet. To safeguard your credit card information we use Payment Express from DPS a highly advanced security system which encrypts all ordering information so that no part of your order including your payment details can be read in transit.

Is it safe to give out my credit card details online?

Dumpit utilises Payment Express from DPS which is a Visa and MasterCard certified solution . DPS is certified with banks in Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Singapore, South Africa and Malaysia. DPS comes inbuilt with 3D secure, the latest security schemes to help mitigate fraud. DPS is used by some of New Zealand’s biggest companies including Bank of New Zealand, Telecom and Fonterra to name a few.

What is the Electronic Wallet?

The electronic wallet is like having your own personal bank account at Dumpit. Like your bank account, it is password protected and you can use it as you please 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you want us to take money out of your “wallet” you will need to contact us at accounts@dumpit.co.nz as a safety measure we can only credit account that the funds were initially transferred from. To deposit funds you will need to credit our account 12 3075 0206242 00 It is IMPERATIVE that you include your Buyer Id Number and Dumpit trading name in the reference column so we credit the right account. If your account has not been credited within 3 working days contact us immediately!

Do you send out an email when I have made payment to my electronic wallet.

Yes we will send you a manual email once we have received funds from you. If you have not received notification of your account being credited within 3 working days please contact us immediately.

What is your refund and replacement policy?

In the event where we are unable to repair a faulty product or replace a faulty product, at our discretion we will refund your money including all applicable freight charges.

What is your privacy policy and what happens to my details?

All your details remain completely confidential. The only details that we release are your delivery details to allow our suppliers to fulfil your order.

Product Availability

All products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be notified immediately by email or phone and offered an alternative or given a full refund.

You may use the content of this site only for the purposes of purchasing on this site or and for no other purpose. Any unauthorised use of the materials appearing on this site may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws.
